The project isn't just about building. We hope to deliver to the Australian Muslim Community a multi-faceted centre that encompasses a mosque, primary school and other community facilities.

According to the official 2006 Census data, the number of Muslims living in Punchbowl was 4,456, representing approximately 26% of the total population of 17,209 [censusdata.abs.gov.au]. At the same time there were 340,392 Muslims living in Australia, representing 1.7% of the total population.

We know our community is growing and naturally, as we grow, we need facilities and services to fulfill our needs. This project will deliver to the Australian Muslim Community on several key fronts, but primarily on the need for more places of worship and the ability to educate our future generations.

This project is vital for the Australian Muslim Community and the Australian Islamic Mission is well on its way on delivering to the community. The purchase and acquisition of six properties on Matthews Street Punchbowl is complete. The foundations have been laid and the site is operational on several fronts; now we need your investment to complete this asset.

Your investment in this project will help produce a unique multi-purpose facility. The magnificent rewards of this unique endeavour are exceptional. Allah (swt) has declared:

"... whatever you spend of anything (in His Cause), He will replace it. And He is the Best of Providers." [Quran 34:39]

The Muslim community in Australia has been extremely generous in supporting this project and we would like to sincerely thank all those who contributed. We are confident, with the Blessings of Allah (swt), that the final stage of the project will be achieved through the support of our Muslim society as a whole.
